Range Facilities: Our range facilities include: a pistol range with four firing points and bench rest; a four point, 100 yard rifle range with fixed shooting benches; 25/50 yard range; two 27 yard trap ranges; 16 station Sporting Clay course; 3-D and field archery ranges; and an indoor archery range in the winter. Range Closures: All ranges are CLOSED on the dates listed below due to the scheduled special event(s) listed below. Ranges are also closed Tuesday evenings from April to October for the Trap Shooting Leagues. Additional range closure information is available on the calendar page.

Range Rules: All users must obey the following range rules. Failure to do so may result in a lost of membership.
Shooting Hours 8 AM to Dusk.
1. You must have a current club membership to use the ranges.
2. Respect others when shooting.
3. Actions must be open and safeties on when checking targets down range.
4. Keep muzzle pointing down range at all times.
5. Do not handle firearms when people are down range.
6. Place targets between 2x4s on the target board.
7. Do not shoot support posts.
8. Do not put items on top of 2x4 supports.
9. No glass targets allowed on ranges.
10. Pick up all targets and junk when done shooting.
11. Put away sand bags when done shooting.
12. Load and shoot one round at a time when sighting in.
13. Do not hog the shooting benches.
14. Bench use is for individuals, not groups. Except on pistol range.
15. Group use is coordinated by the Sparta Rod & Gun Club.
16. Lost of membership may result from not following these rules.
